I just accepted a new position as a leasing agent in Dallas and I’m relocating from Phoenix next month. I don’t know the area super well and the company gave me a relocation bonus, but obviously I don’t want to blow it all on rent.

I'm looking for an apartment that’s:

• Safe (solo female here)
  
• Within 30 mins of downtown
  
• Not paper-thin walls (please no more hearing my neighbors argue about soup at 2AM)
  
• Ideally has in-unit laundry
  
  

Budget is around $1500/month. I don’t mind older places if they’re well-kept.

Would love recs on where you’ve lived, heard good things about, or would never go back to.

Try Elara Flats. It’s newer but not luxury-priced. You get a washer/dryer, soundproofing, and they’re pet-friendly if that matters. I moved out only because I switched jobs. 10/10 would go back.
