I’m currently debating if I should renew my lease or finally take the leap and look for a small rental house. I’ve lived in apartments for most of my adult life, and honestly—I have mixed feelings. I love the amenities and not having to worry about lawn care or maintenance, but I’m tired of hearing my upstairs neighbor’s bowling league at 2AM.

For those of you with more experience—do you genuinely like apartment living? Is it worth it in the long run, or is it just the "lesser evil"? Would love to hear both resident and staff perspectives!

As someone who's worked maintenance for 12 years, I’ll say this: apartments are super convenient—when the management is decent. If you’ve got a solid team behind the scenes, it can be a dream. If not… buckle up.

Also, the "bowling upstairs" thing? Totally real. I’ve investigated that exact complaint more times than I can count.

I actually love my apartment. It's quiet, clean, and my neighbors are chill. I moved here after a nightmare renting a house with a mold problem the landlord wouldn’t fix. Maintenance in apartments = worth it alone.
